The entertainment line-up features a performance from classic crooners, The Golden Boys on Friday, August 7. Three of the most popular teen idols of the ‘50s and ‘60s, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell and Fabian take the stage in Silver Legacy’s Grande Exposition Hall at 8pm. The Golden Boys are known as "one of the most exciting acts in show business." Tickets are available for $75, $65 and $55.
The excitement continues with a performance from The Temptations & The Four Tops. The classic Motown acts bring their soulful sounds to the Grande Exposition Hall, Saturday, August 8 at 8 p.m. Each group will perform their #1 hits like “My Girl,” “I’m Gonna Make You Love Me,” “I Can’t Get Next To You,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” and “Reach Out I’ll Be There.” Tickets are available for $75, $70, $60 and $50.
The Pre Kick-off Party and Show-n-Shine, featuring live music, kicks off Sunday, August 2 from 10am to 6pm on 4th and Virginia Streets. Eldorado Hotel Casino and Silver Legacy host the Show ‘N’ Shine Extraordinaire August 5-8 from 9am-3pm. Cars will be judged for Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, Best Truck and Best Car. Registered Hot August Nights participants can vie for the $1500 Grand Prize.
The big boys can head to the Big Boy’s Toy Store, August 5-August 8 for a look at the latest in car accessories and more. Presented by Silver Legacy and Eldorado, Big Boy’s Toy Store is in the Reno Events Center on 4th and Center Streets.
