Get Your Flair On At Silver Legacy
- Biggest Little Flair Bartender Competition Held February 18 -
RENO, Nev. (January 30, 2009) – Join Silver Legacy Resort Casino and Rum Bullions Island Bar when they host the Biggest Little Flair Bartender Competition on February 18 at 8 p.m.
The event is part of the 2009 Flair Bartenders’ Association (FBA) Advanced Tour and is a fun competition for both competitors and spectators. Sponsors include by Bacardi, Finlandia Grapefruit Fusion, Jack Daniels, Tuaca Liqueur, Blue Moon and Red Bull.
Competitors from as far away as Europe and all around the United States and Canada can walk away with cash prizes of $1,000 for first, $500 for second, $250 for third and $125 for fourth places. The top five competitors will also receive a trophy. For those in attendance you’ll have a chance to win a snowboard and lift tickets along with drink specials from sponsor products.

The art of Flair Bartending has been around since the late 1800s with Professor Jerry Thomas and his flaming cocktail the Blue Blazer. Fair bartending is simply taking bar service to the next level and entertaining the guest how they want to be entertained.
The sport of flair bartending is a much more recent development. In 1997 at the largest flair competition of the time, QUEST in Orlando Florida USA, a small group of extremely passionate and talented bartenders decided to work together to organize and unite the 800 various competitions throughout the world, many of them being either local events or regional competitions. With that effort, the Flair Bartenders' Association (FBA) was born and immediately became the fastest growing global membership association in the industry.
Since then, the FBA has grown to become the largest and most respected flair based organization in the world. The FBA is the global sanctioning body and the undisputed authority on the sport of flair bartending. With the creation of the FBA Pro Tour, it gave the sport a points chase for bartenders to compete year long and worldwide with their eye on the Tour Championship.
