RENO, NV (Feb. 2, 2018) – The Year of the Dog will come to life at the Eldorado Resort Casino, Silver Legacy Resort Casino and Circus Circus Reno in an extravagant way. The celebration will begin with the lighting of the Circus Circus Reno hotel towers in a lucky red color starting Feb. 14 and all three resort casinos will transform into a colorful celebration of the Chinese New Year with elaborate décor, live entertainment including a Lion Dance and Asian cuisine specials throughout the property.
The Buffet at the Eldorado will feature dozens of ever-changing appetizers and entrees, Feb. 15-18 including a Chinese crispy roast pig every night, General’s Chicken, wok-fried black bean fish, teriyaki chicken wings, Peking duck, egg drop soup, sushi, chilled crab legs, Eldorado fried rice, BBQ pork with honey and sesame seeds and so much more. Dinner will be served nightly from 4 p.m. to closing. Adults are $31.88 and children ages four to ten, $15.88. ONE Club Silver and above members are $28.88.
True to its name, Flavors! the Buffet at the Silver Legacy will offer a variety of Asian tastes Feb. 16-18 including a succulent suckling pig display. Enjoy classics like Kung Pao chicken, egg rolls and spareribs, or enjoy new creations from our chefs like braised pork riblets with black bean sauce, whole fried tilapia with Thai chili sauce, firecracker shrimp with mint rice noodles and honey sesame roasted chicken. All of these great additions accompany a carving station lavished with slow-roasted soy sauce prime rib and honey baked bone-in ham. Almond cookies and Chinese rice pudding will be available for dessert along with a symphony or pastries, cakes, tartlets, parfaits, mousses, pies and sugar free desserts. Adults are $31.88 and children ages four to ten are $15.88. ONE Club Silver and above members are $28.88.
Café Central at the Silver Legacy will also have a variety of Chinese New Year’s Specials in addition to its regular menu. Entrées include crispy salted whole baby chicken marinated in soy sauce, oyster sauce and herbs and spices with steamed broccoli for $13.88, head to tail fried tilapia with fresh ginger, green onion, cilantro and aged soy sauce for $14.88, fat choy vegetable tofu with golden fried tofu, vegetables and crispy bird’s nest noodles for $10.88, Imperial New York Steak marinated, wok fried and sliced for $15.88 and never ending lo mein noodles tossed with head on shrimp, scallops, clams, cabbage, carrots and snow pears for $12.88.
Beginning Feb. 17, the internationally acclaimed Leung’s White Crane Dance Association will perform a traditional Lion Dance that has become customary during Chinese cultural festivals. The extravagant dance will take place throughout the three casinos accompanied by music on the following dates and times:
